Overview: Looking for a highly motivated and strategic Business Manager to lead new product development. Candidate will be responsible for developing the innovation pipeline for the portfolio, launching new products, and managing new product launches within the portfolio.
The candidate will be exposed to challenging opportunities within a highly entrepreneurial culture and rapidly changing category. Candidate must be passionate about the consumer and excel at thinking out of the box. The ideal candidate must be ready to hit the ground running, have a great attitude, and must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Furthermore, the candidate must exert strong leadership and project management skills.
Develop the innovation pipeline, including but not limited to line extensions, packaging changes, and new value add products.
Partner with Market Research in the development of strategic qualitative and quantitative research to identify consumer, customer and competitive insights and trends that justify development of new products and optimization of existing products.
Utilize syndicated data to monitor, identify and respond to category trends, competitive activity, and consumption trends. Proactively react to data by putting together action plans that address any negative trends.
Champion and launch new products for the portfolio, including but not limited to formulation, consumer research, packaging, positioning, volumes, financials, Senior Management alignment and selling materials.
Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of various projects, including new product development, packaging changes, and cost savings initiatives.
Collaborate with sales strategy to develop the trade promotion plan for all new items, including the most efficient use of trade funds to drive sales.
Lead marketing agencies in the development and execution of wholistic marketing plans, including but not limited to media, sampling, social, couponing and PR, that drive awareness and trial of new products.
Deliver volume and EBIT targets for all new product launches
Craft innovation long-term plans grounded in sound business strategies to attain to both short and long term growth objectives for the Portfolio
Partner with sales in developing, adjusting and monitoring volume forecasts
Work with supply chain to manage inventory levels to improve working capital and reduce the risk of obsolete inventory.

General consumer products goods industry knowledge
4+ years marketing experience or similar role in a consumer-packaged goods company.
Passion for the consumer and the consumer products goods industry
Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of establishing and meeting financial & business goals.
Ability to set clear and measurable objectives.
Ability to prioritize and make decisions with limited supervision and information.
Strong organization and project management skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Superb analytical ability, including the use of qualitative and quantitative data in developing sound business strategies.
Proven success in new product development (concept ideation through product commercialization and launch).
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Strong presentation skills, including the ability to develop compelling selling stories and strategic plans, both for internal and external parties.
Proficient with MS Office Suite and syndicated data (IRI or Nielsen preferred).
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field
MBA strongly preferred
